Kim Madden and I attended the Children and Young People’s Research Network conference at the Cardiff Millennium Centre yesterday. We both enjoyed the conference and the opportunity to show our work.

I presented a poster on the Beacon for Wales funded project evaluating the feasibility and effectiveness of using an online method to engage young people in research. Delegates were interested in the strategies we used to engage young people and enhance group dynamics in online focus group discussions.

Kim presented a poster on the Genetics and Merthyr Youth project looking at the influences on young people’s attitudes to genetics and health. Delegates were impressed with their innovative ways of conducting research on genetics with young people.
