Funding Source: Seventh Research Framework Programme (FP7), European Commission
Under the FAFB theme of the Co-operation Specific Programme, one call for proposals was issued on 3 September 2008.

There are three main activities/areas for this call:
1. Sustainable production and management of biological resources from land, forest and aquatic environments.
Topics include: new methods for forest functions, goods and services, self sustained aquaculture, bee health, spatial analysis of rural development measures and Globalisation.
2. Fork to farm: Food (including seafood), health and well being
Topics include: food habit formation, stress, addiction and eating behaviour, biomarkers, transparency along the food value chain and by-products in food processing.
3. Life sciences, biotechnology and biochemistry for sustainable non-food products and processes
Topics include: Abiotic stress tolerance, biomass, nanobiotechnology and innovative biotechnology.
Budget: EUR 188.85m
Deadline: 15 January 2009, 17.00 Brussels local time.
