On Saturday (8th November 2008) I was lucky enough to be able to attend a very successful event organised by Dr Rachel Iredale at Cardiff Crown Court at which a jury of young people was asked to deliberate on the National DNA Database. To support this event, young offenders from Parc prison designed and constructed a DNA model, which stood in the dock througout the trial. They also created the large banner which hung as a backdrop from the railings of the public gallery. Both items were well designed and constructed, and added to the atmosphere of the event. You can see both the model and the banner in the attached photograph. Congratulations to all concerned.
