Call for projects 2009
The Atlantic Area 2007-2013, European Transnational Cooperation Programme launches the Second Call for Projects 2009-1: The second call for project applications opens on April 6th and closes on June 5th 2009.

Submission deadline: June 5th 2009, 8 pm (Portuguese time)
Priorities and objectives
Project proposals must cover one of the following Programme priorities and objectives:
1.1 – Develop knowledge transfers between companies and research centres
1.2 – Enhance competitiveness and innovation capacities in maritime economy niches of excellence
1.3 – Stimulate economic conversion and diversification by promoting the regional endogenous potential
2.1 – Reinforce maritime security
2.2 – Sustainable management and protection of the resources of marine spaces
2.3 – Exploit the renewable energy potential of the marine and coastal environment
2.4 – Protect and promote natural spaces, water resources and coastal zones
3.1 – Promote interoperability and continuity of existing transport networks, and sea/road/rail/air intermodality
3.2 – Promote short-sea shipping and cooperation between ports
4.1 – Pool resources and skills in the field of sustainable urban and rural development
4.2 – Make cities and regions more influential and attractive through networking
4.3 – Conserve and promote Atlantic cultural heritage of trans-national interest
Financial allocation: An amount of €26,000,000 of ERDF is available for this call for projects. The intervention rate for the ERDF will not exceed 65.0% of eligible project costs.
Timetable: This call for proposals will take place from 2009/04/06: 12.00 a.m (Portuguese time) to 2009/06/05: 8.00 p.m (Portuguese time) . Projects submitted after 2009-06-05 8.00 p.m (Portuguese time) will be automatically considered not-admissible.
