» Prayers for Health Care Worldwide, 2nd February 2011

We pray for all students and staff in the Department of Care Sciences, especially any who are in particular need today, and for the international nursing cohort currently studying there.

We remember especially this month the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda and Dewi Sant, and Chaplains working in them.

Our international focus is on Asia, thinking of the challenges in developing countries, and health care workers in places where there is war or terrorism (Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel/Palestine); also the 203 Welsh Field Hospital in Afghanistan.

The Healthcare Christian Fellowship has asked for prayers for its forthcoming World Conference, and for the International Saline course, and the training conference in preparation for it this weekend (Feb 4th – 6th).

Loving God, the care of every soul is in your hands, the cure of every sickness comes from you.

We do not know your will for us.

If by our lives your grace may be made known, then in us, through us, or even in spite of us, your kingdom come, your will be done. Amen.
